Trail Description

A popular hike near Alpine Meadows into the Granite Chief Wilderness above Lake Tahoe. The trail climbs open slopes with Tahoe views to a cluster of shallow granite lakes. The lakes are a favorite summer swimming destination in a scenic high basin.
