Trail description

A 5.6 km climb of about 640 m from the Kancamagus Highway to the summit of Mount Chocorua (1,060 m), the easternmost peak of the Sandwich Range in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. The mountain is very rugged, and its bare rocky summit can be seen and identified from many points across central New Hampshire and western Maine. Chocorua Lake lies directly to the south. The name is probably an Algonquin word meaning rocky home of the water serpent.
