A 6.2 km climb from the upper trailhead on the Mount Townsend Trail in the Buckhorn Wilderness near Quilcene, through old-growth forest beside Townsend Creek and up through meadows past Camp Windy to the summit (6,260 ft / 1,908 m), which has a 360 degree view.
