Trail Description
A 1.9 km climb of about 230 m from Bob Run Road to the summit of Mount Van Hoevenberg in the Adirondacks, about 15 km east-southeast of Lake Placid. The mountain is named for Henry Van Hoevenberg and is best known for its winter sports complex with bobsleigh, luge and skeleton tracks. The complex hosted events at the 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympics, and ORDA still maintains the cross-country ski and biathlon trails first used at the 1980 Games.
