Trail description
A 4.9 km loop with about 280 m of climbing around Naches Peak from the Mather Memorial Parkway near Chinook Pass, joining a section of the Pacific Crest Trail. The 1,967 m peak sits on the crest of the Cascade Range, on the boundary of Mount Rainier National Park and the William O. Douglas Wilderness. The loop crosses meadows that fill with wildflowers in summer. The name Naches Peak was proposed by the Yakima Chamber of Commerce and approved by Asahel Curtis in 1927.
