Trail description

A 4.2 km loop with about 210 m of climbing from Whiteside Mountain Road over Whiteside Mountain, between Cashiers and Highlands in North Carolina. The mountain has the highest cliffs in eastern North America. Its Cherokee name is Sanigilâ'gĭ, and Cherokee myth says that Spearfinger, the powerful woman monster, built a bridge from the Hiwassee River to the mountain.
