Trail description
A 3.1 km climb of about 450 m from the Jumbo trailhead in Missoula's Lower Rattlesnake neighborhood, on the Jumbo trails up the open grassy south face and along the Jumbo Backbone to the top of Mount Jumbo, which overlooks the city. Most of the mountain is public open space, bought from private owners from 1996. This is bear country, so carry bear spray.
