Trail description
A 3.4 km climb from the trailhead next to the University of Montana in Missoula, up the zigzag trail to the hillside letter M, 620 ft (189 m) up the western face, and on the Sentinel Climb trail to the summit of Mount Sentinel (5,158 ft / 1,572 m). The University of Montana owns the mountain up to its crest, the only university in the nation to own a mountain.
